Grameenphone, the largest network provider in Bangladesh is to launch eSIM in Bangladesh for the first time.
eSIM is one of the catalysts to the revolutionary digital transformation all around the world with environmental benefits.
eSIM is embedded in a mobile device that allows you to connect with your local network provider of your choice without having the need to purchase a traditional physical SIM Card. It works just like a regular SIM but does not require to insert a physical card to your smartphone, and only works on devices with pre-installed eSIM support.
According to GP’s website, customers now can purchase new numbers or replace their existing phone numbers for a犀利士
n eSIM. Customers will be able to avail eSIM from March 7 2022.
Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC), a couple of months back, approved eSIM for operators in Bangladesh.
Globally many operators are offering eSIM as a subscriber can store and load multiple SIM without needing a physical SIM. As a result, it has a positive impact on the environment as it reduces plastic.
